Example 1

The paper discusses the relationship between Caribbean society and higher-class society. In “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,”  class distinctions are visible. Caribbean societies are smaller than higher-class societies. Their culture is different from any other culture. Calypso and reggae music are popular in Caribbean society. These terms are also visible at the beginning of the “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” movie. In this movie, Captain Jack, Barbossa, and Will-Turner belong to Caribbean society (lower class society).

On the other hand, Elizabeth Swann, Governor Sawann, and James Norrington belong to a higher-class society; they live in Port Royal. “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” This movie is an American English movie, so every character should use standard American English, but in this movie, class distinctions are visible. That’s why lower-class societies’ languages are different from higher-class societies’ languages.

In this movie, language variations are visible. In addition, Governor Sawann is a powerful man and belongs to a higher-class society. In this movie, he uses standard American language. As a girl, Elizabeth Swann delivered her dialogue in a soft tone. In this term paper, we are trying to identify the language style usages of the characters in this movie from a sociolinguistics and language variation perspective.

Example 2

This paper explores modernism and selected children’s books from the modernist period. Two of the most widely known children’s books published in the said era, namely The Velveteen Rabbit and The Tale of Peter Rabbit, authored by Margery Williams and Beatrix Potter, respectively, were picked and analyzed to detect traces of modern literature. It was discovered that both books have multiple aspects associated with modernism. Apart from the two primary texts, information has been added along with proper citations from several scholarly books and articles derived from reliable sources. Through the study, this paper seeks to draw a connection between children’s literature and modernism.

Example 3

This report is about the film industry in Bangladesh from the students’ perspective. This paper is based on young generations’ perceptions, who are the main consumers of the film industry. This paper focuses on the growth and improvements of the whole industry and the positive and negative aspects from students’ perspectives that have impacts on the overall industry. It also focuses on the recommendations that are needed to improve the quality of films. To identify these objectives, an online study has been done among the students of a prominent institution named “East-West University.” A Google Form survey has been conducted with 35 respondents.

The frequency method and the descriptive analysis method have been used to analyze the data. The study result shows that the recent progress of the film industry is positive. This survey gives an idea of film content according to student’s preferences. This study finds out the major problems related to the progress of industry and recommends several ways to solve these problems. Students’ suggestions are also an important part of this survey to understand the current situation of the film industry and improve the drawbacks. Good content quality, creative stories, innovative ideas, and avoiding vulgarity and repetitiveness can lead the Bangladeshi film industry to a high-performing and competitive level.

Example 4

This term paper explores the theme of loss of innocence in the era of 17th- and 18th-century poetry. It analyzes the portrayal of innocence, the societal critique, and the consequences of the loss of innocence in both works. In 17th- and 18th-century poetry, the theme of loss of innocence was a big deal. Poets explored how people go from being innocent kids to facing the tough realities of adulthood. They talked about things like child labor and the fall of Adam and Eve to symbolize this loss of innocence. It’s all about how growing up changes us and how society plays a role in that.
